Usagi Matcha - Ceremonial

Usagi matcha represents the pinnacle of matcha production in Japan.

Each leaf for this exceptional product is carefully handpicked by skilled farmers, a practice that has become increasingly rare today, results in a tea that is notably smoother and more mellow, with a delicate flavour and aroma that machine-harvested leaves cannot achieve.

Grown and produced in the rolling hills of Uji, near the river that rich in fertile soil, our Usagi matcha benefits from the richness of the earth, which imparts its signature deep, mellow flavour.

The leaves are shaded for 20 to 30 days before harvest using the traditional "Tana" method, a technique requiring meticulously refined skill and care over generations. The shading process enhances the matcha’s aroma, giving it an exquisite, noble fragrance.

Stone-grinding method is used to achieve the finest powder texture and optimal preservation of nutrients.
